Concept development and service design

APPROACH

Our approach to addressing undetected type 2 diabetes involved advanced strategic design methods. We began by consulting experts from organizations like The Danish Family Planning Association and Hvidovre Hospital for critical insights. We then conducted material and usability testing through iterative prototyping, ensuring the test kit was functional and user-centric. Extensive user research refined the journey, creating an intuitive experience for the targetgroup. Finally, applying design thinking and collaborative development, we fine-tuned the product to create an effective and accessible home test kit.

RESULTS

The final design encompassed a complete solution, including a product design, a strategic framework, and a complementary app for interpreting test results. This integrated approach ensures that users can easily conduct the test and accurately understand their results, enhancing early detection and management of type 2 diabetes.
The strategy and product were awarded the Royal Danish Academy's Månson scholarship in recognition of the extraordinary achievements.
